My client wanted me to write a 7-to-10-page research paper on a DSM-V disorder. I selected attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD) for this project.
My client also wanted a minimum of 5 sources for this research paper. These sources had to be journal articles published within the last 5 years. However, I was allowed to use the DSM-V and the bible for this project in addition to these journal articles. This paper also needed to include, label, and address nine different sections: introduction, history, cause of illness, treatment, prevention, cross-cultural, biblical worldview, and conclusion.
For my portfolio, the section “biblical worldview” has been changed to “ADHD and religious communities”. This section originally discussed ADHD from a biblical perspective. Now, it discusses how a religious community could influence an individual with ADHD.
Currently, I do not have any plans to expand this project. However, if I were to continue this project, I would start by narrowing the focus of my research. A more specialized topic, such as the genetic heritability of ADHD, would result in a more comprehensive insight into ADHD.
