Memorandum

My client requested that I create an ethical and empathetic bad news memorandum for the following scenario:

“You are the Human Resources director for Computer Dynamics Inc., a large IT firm in Atlanta As a result of the rising cost of healthcare, your boss has asked that you write a memo to all employees stating that medical withholding will have to double at the beginning of the next month.”

Any information beyond this scenario, such as why the withholding was increased and how much it increased, was created by me for this project.

I enjoyed the challenge this project presented. It is easy to present bad news, it is more difficult to communicate bad news in an effective and empathetic manner. I would be interested in doing similar projects in future.
